Are you a dedicated Nurse Practitioner with a passion for serving those who have served our country? We are seeking experienced and motivated Locum Nurse Practitioners to provide essential general medicine evaluations for Veterans across Kentucky. This pivotal role offers flexible scheduling, competitive compensation, and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful healthcare services in a dynamic environment.
What You Will Do:
• Conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments on a PRN, ongoing basis.
• Perform interview-based assessments with some physical tests, including range of motion and muscle strength evaluations.
• Work in your own office location within a 50-mile radius of Paducah, KY, with the flexibility of half-day or full-day sessions.
• Complete exams quickly and efficiently, including report submissions and addendums, with a focus on non-treatment, interview-based assessments.
• Enjoy a streamlined credentialing and onboarding process, supporting your smooth transition into the role.
Required Skills:
• Active Nurse Practitioner license
• Background in family medicine, internal medicine, or orthopedic surgery
• Experience with general medicine, compensation, and pension evaluations preferred
• Strong interviewing and assessment skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote or private practice setting
Nice to Have
Skills:
• Prior experience with Veteran affairs or military-related healthcare settings
• Certification in relevant specialties or additional healthcare credentials
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
Preferred
Education and Experience:
• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience in general or internal medicine
• Proven experience in performing medical assessments or examinations
Other Requirements:
• Ability to work independently in your own office location
• Must possess reliable transportation within the designated area
• Willingness to complete administrative follow-up work such as report addendums and diagnostics reading
• Valid certifications and credentials as required for healthcare practice
Compensation & Benefits:
• Hourly Rate of $402.00
