This role places you in a 13-bed ICU (with overflow), offering exposure to advanced critical care technologies and varied leadership styles. You'll broaden your skills collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, learning from diverse practices, and elevating your expertise in a high-acuity, supportive environment.
Schedule/Hours:
- Night Shift: 12 hours
- Every Other Weekend & Every Other Holiday required
- Active RN license (state or compact)
- Minimum 4 years' ICU nursing experience (open to discussion for candidates with slightly less)
- At least two completed travel nurse assignments preferred
- BLS & ACLS certification required; PALS preferred
- Strong skills in dysrhythmia interpretation and critical care assessments
- Experience with cardiac drips, ventilators, central lines, chest tubes, wound vacs
- Provide, coordinate, and evaluate care for critically ill adults and geriatric patients
- Perform comprehensive assessments, hemodynamic monitoring, and medication administration
- Manage patients on advanced therapies (CRRT, IABP, Impella, ECMO)
- Act as a liaison for patients, family, and the care team, ensuring optimal and compassionate care
- Document thoroughly and participate in continuous quality improvement
- Serve as safety and quality advocate, maintaining compliance with protocols and supporting patient and staff education
