Active unencumbered nursing license required for this position

The Medication Nurse is responsible for monitoring the health and well being of our residents, providing leadership support and assistance with resident care and services. Responsibilities include but are not limited to medication administration, communication with residents, families, the doctor/APRN and pharmaceutical services to ensure our residents recieve the highest quality of healthcare.

• Identifies healthcare needs of the residents
• Ensures proper documentation
• Obtaining vital signs for each resident as required to ensure safe medication administration
• Assist with resident care as needed

The medication nurse may be asked to assist the charge nurse with nursing duties which may include: assisting with dressing changes, wound care, blood glucose checks, O2 administration, assessments, and all other duties that fall within their determined scope of practice.
