Position: RN Staff Nurse

Location: Grant County

Shift: Day (PRN)

Hourly Rate: $32/hr

• Respond and intervene in all emergency situations.
• Conduct patient intake paperwork and assessments.
• Verify and obtain orders for patient medication.
• Conduct Sick Call clinic.
• Administer medications in accordance with nursing standards and correctional regulations.
• Complete and document ordered treatments, assessments, and collect ordered labs.
• Assist provider with Chronic Care Clinic.
• Accurately document all patient information, nursing assessments and interventions.
• Monitor for and report changes in patient condition.
• Ensure daily nursing tasks are completed within prescribed timeframe.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Work closely with HSA, Physician, and clinical staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Assist HSA in supervision of clinical staff.
• Foster support and cooperation among staff members to promote teamwork.
• Assist with training and orientation of new staff.
• Assist with assessment of clinical skills of each staff member.
• Participate in all CQI/performance improvement activities as assigned.
• Attend all mandatory meetings.
• Follow QCHC policies, procedures & guidelines.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

• Completion of an approved registered nursing program with a current valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience in a healthcare setting; one year of experience in correctional healthcare is preferred.
