Licensed Practical Nurse

Required Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a government security clearance.

• Perform nursing duties and manage patient needs as described in the Position Description.
• Operate in accordance with competency standards.
• Provide comprehensive, skilled, and competent nursing care tailored to patient age groups (neonate, infant, school-age, adolescent, adult, geriatric).
• Apply the nursing process and clinical practice to deliver individualized, goal‑oriented care for all patients.
• Plan and provide quality nursing care that meets physical, spiritual, and social‑cultural needs.
• Recognize disease processes and complications, and implement appropriate therapeutic interventions.
• Understand medication effects, side‑effects, and complications.
• Analyze results of medical procedures and translate them into nursing interventions.
• Work effectively within the health‑care team and with patients and families.
• Follow facility policies and federal regulations (Joint Commission, OSHA, IHS).
• Operate, maintain, and report issues with specialized equipment (respiratory, ventilator, suction devices, defibrillator, ECG).
• Interview patients and families to determine triage classification and appropriate interventions.
• Administer therapeutic measures prescribed by the provider (medications, IV fluids, blood products, respirator treatments, assist with procedures).
• Perform patient education, counseling, and teaching on preventive, curative, and rehabilitative measures.
• Conduct inter‑facility transports.

The contractor shall work Monday through Friday 07:30 – 18:60, totaling 40 hours per week scheduled by the Service Coordinator.

• Current, unrestricted nursing license with no complaints filed; provide copy.
• Basic Life Support Certification required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Valid state driver’s license; motor vehicle operator’s license required if the position demands it.
• Maintain malpractice insurance.

• Degree or diploma from a professionally accredited nursing program.
• Active registration as a professional nurse in a State, District of Columbia, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory.
• Minimum 36 months nursing experience and/or ER experience, with at least 12 months in the required specialty unless otherwise approved.
• Experience that equips the applicant to perform the duties of the position.
