Spring View Hospital is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network. As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Surgery Unit, you will provide safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the operating room and perioperative services for all patient populations.

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
• Assess patients at intervals as stated in policies and procedures.
• Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care.
• Implement the plan of care, including protecting the patient from injury, performing accounting procedures to prevent retained surgical items, ensuring correct site, side, and level, managing specimens, communicating status, administering medications, maintaining wound and tissue perfusion, maintaining fluid and electrolyte balance, ensuring normothermia, protecting against surgical site infection, assessing knowledge level, providing education, involving the patient in decisions, protecting rights, dignity, privacy, providing age-specific, culturally competent care, and providing consistent care regardless of setting.
• Evaluate patient progress toward outcomes.
• Transfer care as applicable.
• Delegate tasks according to the state Nurse Practice Act and job descriptions.
• Document nursing care accurately, completely, and legibly.
• Collaborate effectively with other disciplines.
• Participate in quality review and performance improvement projects.
• Participate in the performance appraisal process.
• Use problem‑solving and conflict resolution skills to foster effective work relationships with team members.
• Maintain required competencies.
• Pursue professional growth and participate in a professional organization.
• Act as a patient advocate and maintain privacy and confidentiality of individuals and health information.
• Be available for rotated back‑call; must arrive at the facility within 30 minutes of receiving call.

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current registered nurse licensure in the state of employment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or within 6 months of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or within 6 months of hire.

• Two years perioperative services experience.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Certified Nurse, Operating Room (CNOR) certification.
• Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Word).
