Registered Nurse; RN Float Pool

The Float Pool RN provides direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with the applicable scope and standards of practice. This position also performs House Supervisor responsibilities as needed to meet the needs of the facility.

• Delegate, coordinate, and provide nursing care throughout the hospital to ensure quality patient care.
• Plan and implement patient care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Document patient care, monitor and record patient condition, and communicate status to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate care, including transfers, discharge, referrals, and spiritual or psychosocial support.
• Evaluate patients' and families' learning needs and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients.
• Determine, coordinate, and supervise daily staffing assignments and levels.
• Provide orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff, and assist with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Assess and ensure quality of services delivered, facilitate staff development programs, and enforce compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Perform staff responsibilities as needed to meet required service levels.
• Lead the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.

• RN license required.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certification per unit‑specific requirements.
• One year of ER experience preferred.
