New Grad RN Resident – Med Surg

About This Role

The New Grad RN Resident in the Med Surg unit at Cleveland Clinic Mentor Hospital provides care to adult patients with various medical issues or those preparing for or recovering from surgery. This role is ideal for recent nursing graduates looking to develop their clinical skills in a supportive environment.

• Pay: $35.50 - $55.60/hour
• Location: Mentor, OH
• Facility: Mentor Hospital
• Department/Unit: Med/Surg Unit
• Schedule: Full-time, Night shift

• Assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care.
• Interact directly with patients, families, and visitors.
• Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care.
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate corrective actions.
• Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when needed.
• Document in patients’ medical records.

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program) required.

• New grad or less than one year RN work experience required.
• Experience moving from non-inpatient to acute direct care clinical inpatient setting preferred.

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
