Greens at Weaverville is seeking a dedicated and experienced
LPN/RN Unit Manager to join our leadership team
. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of a busy skilled nursing unit while ensuring the highest standards of resident care are maintained.

Working closely with the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing

What You'll Do

As the Unit Manager
, you will:

  • Supervise the daily nursing operations of the unit to ensure exceptional resident care.
  • Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) with the day-to-day management of nursing services.
  • Coordinate resident admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation with three other nurse managers.
  • Ensure nursing staff comply with all federal, state, and facility policies and procedures.
  • Maintain current nursing reference materials, including state and federal regulations.
  • Coordinate nursing services with other departments to ensure continuity of care.
  • Plan, organize, and lead nursing staff meetings, programs, and daily operations.
  • Complete accident and incident reports and other required documentation.
  • Perform administrative responsibilities including evaluations, reports, chart audits, and medical documentation.
  • Develop work assignments and assist staff as needed.
  • Communicate resident admissions and ensure rooms are prepared prior to arrival.
  • Welcome newly admitted residents and assist with the admission process.
  • Participate in physician rounds as needed.
  • Provide direct nursing care when necessary.
  • Ensure adequate supplies, medications, and equipment are available at all times.
  • Verify that all staff involved in resident care understand and follow each resident's individualized care plan.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing program or approved LPN/RN program.
  • Current, active, and unencumbered North Carolina LPN or RN license.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a hospital, long-term care, or related healthcare setting.
  • Thorough knowledge of nursing practices, long-term care regulations, and applicable federal and state guidelines.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to make sound clinical decisions independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, staff, and regulatory agencies.
  • Professionalism, patience, compassion, and the ability to lead by example.
  • Experience with Point Click Care is preferred.
