• 50 bed unit specializing in critical care, emergent oncology care, and minor trauma care
• Unique collaboration with UPMC Hillman Cancer Center and designated Oncology ED for Southwestern UPMC region
• Comprehensive care for all patients available 24/7
• Primary stroke center
• 24-hour cardiac catheterization lab for STEMI cases
• Volume and acuity are variable and can change quickly, making the ED an extremely fast paced, unpredictable environment where rapid problem- solving and critical thinking are necessary to address evolving needs and priorities
• We are a teaching facility that supports quality patient care and staff education
