RN, RN Nurse, ICU Nurse

Mercy is seeking an RN for our Acute Rehab unit. In this role, you’ll provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from serious illness, surgery, or injury. You will perform thorough assessments, administer medications and treatments, and develop individualized rehab-focused care plans. Working closely with physicians, therapists, and other team members, you’ll coordinate therapies, monitor progress, and adjust care to promote safe, timely recovery.

You’ll educate patients and families on mobility, self-care, and discharge needs while supporting Mercy’s culture of compassion, diversity, and professional growth.

• Deliver direct nursing care to acute rehab patients, including assessments, treatments, and medication administration.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized care and rehabilitation plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient progress, document in EHR, and communicate changes promptly.
• Educate patients and families on recovery, mobility, safety, and discharge plans.
• Maintain patient safety, infection control, and quality standards on the unit.
• Participate in team huddles, care conferences, and performance improvement initiatives.
