Location: Northern
Join Gifted Healthcare as a PRN LTAC RN, providing high-quality, evidence-based care to medically complex patients in long-term acute care settings. In this flexible, per diem role, you’ll assess and monitor critically ill patients, administer medications and complex therapies, manage ventilators and advanced wounds, and collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team. You’ll document accurately, follow LTAC and infection control protocols, and respond quickly to changes in condition, all while benefiting from Gifted’s supportive, clinician-centered culture and nationwide growth opportunities.
Job Responsibilities- Deliver direct nursing care to medically complex LTAC patients in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
- Continuously assess, monitor, and document patient status, vital signs, and response to treatments
- Administer medications, therapies, and wound care, ensuring safety and adherence to best practices
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team to develop and update care plans
- Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical records and follow all regulatory and infection control standards
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and perform emergency interventions as needed
- Communicate effectively with facility staff and Gifted Healthcare team to coordinate PRN scheduling and assignments

- Previous LTAC, ICU, step-down, or acute care hospital experience preferred
- Familiarity with ventilator management and tracheostomy care preferred
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
