Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor– Emergency Department | Level I Trauma Center Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse Supervisor for our Emergency Department, home to Hampton Roads’ only Level I Trauma Center. Shift: Evening-Rotating Available

9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. 11:00 a.m. – 11:0 p.m. 1:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m. – 3:00 a.m. Weekends:
Every other weekend availability required Holiday Rotation:

At Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Emergency Department nurses care for patients in one of the region’s most advanced and fast-paced clinical environments. Our 53-bed Emergency Department is equipped to manage a wide range of medical emergencies, with approximately 10% of cases related to trauma. As part of a Level I Trauma Center, you will work alongside experienced emergency medicine providers, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver timely, high-quality care when patients need it most.

Nurses in this department gain exposure to complex emergency, trauma, cardiac, stroke, critical care, and specialty cases while building advanced clinical skills in a collaborative environment.

Sentara Norfolk General Emergency Department has been recognized with the Emergency Nurses Association Lantern Award, honoring exceptional and innovative leadership, practice, education, advocacy, and research.

• BSN Required
• Certification/Licensure Requirements
• Registered Nurse license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire
• NIHSS, TCRN, SCRN, TNCC, CEN, PALS, and ACLS preferred

• 2 years RN experience Required
• Emergency Department experience preferred
• One year Nursing Leadership/Supervisory experience required
