Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor– Emergency Department | Level I Trauma Center

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse Supervisor for our Emergency Department, home to Hampton Roads’ only Level I Trauma Center. Location: Sentara Norfolk General Hospital – Norfolk, VA

Position Status: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Shift: Evening-Rotating

Available

Hours:

9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

11:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.

1:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.

3:00 p.m. – 3:00 a.m.

Weekends: Every other weekend availability required

Holiday Rotation: Required

Nurses in this department gain exposure to complex emergency, trauma, cardiac, stroke, critical care, and specialty cases while building advanced clinical skills in a collaborative environment.

Education Requirements

• BSN Required

Certification/Licensure Requirements

• Registered Nurse license required

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire

• NIHSS, TCRN, SCRN, TNCC, CEN, PALS, and ACLS preferred

Experience Requirements

• 2 years RN experience Required

• Emergency Department experience preferred

• One year Nursing Leadership/Supervisory experience required
