Director of Housekeeping

Position: Director of Housekeeping
Location: Hazlet, NJ
Schedule: Full-Time
Salary: $70,000–$75,000 annually

Arnold Walter Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced Director of Housekeeping to oversee housekeeping operations and ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, families, and staff.

• Oversee and supervise the housekeeping department and staff.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, infection control, and safety.
• Develop and maintain departmental policies, procedures, and schedules.
• Conduct regular inspections and address deficiencies promptly.
• Manage housekeeping supplies, equipment, and inventory.
• Coordinate housekeeping services with Nursing, Dietary, Maintenance, and other departments.
• Participate in facility surveys, inspections, and quality assurance/infection control committees.
• Develop plans of correction for identified deficiencies.
• Complete reports, staff evaluations, and other administrative responsibilities.
• Lead departmental meetings and support staff development.

• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a hospital, nursing home, skilled nursing facility, or related healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of environmental services, safety regulations, and infection control practices.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work professionally and compassionately with residents, families, staff, and vendors.
