Full Time M-F University Health System Lubbock, Texas
* Surgical Services at Health and Wellness Hospital will be closed on weekends and hospital observed holidays.

- We use a multi-disciplinary approach to nursing care
- The OR staff presently consists of a Nurse Director, Assistant Director, Coordinator/Charge Nurse, Registered Nurses that are practicing with a current Texas License, and CSTs working directly under the Vice President of Procedural Services.
- The Department of Anesthesiology provides medical direction and coverage with a full time attending and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs).
- The OR has 4 rooms, 1 Cath lab and 1 IR suite.
- Nursing orientation for the OR uses AORNs Peri-Op 101 and takes up to 6 months, depending on previous experience.
- ** Our nurses are trained in all aspects of the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases and work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and ancillary staff.
- Registered professional nurse who assesses, implements or delegates, plans, and evaluates total nursing care and functions in accordance with established philosophy, providing and directing patient care for a group of patients.
- Relates effectively with other shifts/departments for optimal continuity of care.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
- Valid Texas RN License/Eligible Compact License
- Must maintain a current BLS, ACLS, & PALS certification from American Heart Association
- Acute Care Experience Required
- OR experience preferred
- BSN
