The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the overall success of clinical placement through strategic planning, organization, and communication of student clinical placements for the Advanced Practice Nursing Programs in the Mary Inez School of Nursing. The clinical coordinator must be a strategic thinker and an adept communicator.

- Proficiency in Gmail,Google Sheets,and Microsoftproducts.
- Stronginterpersonalandcommunicationskillsforidentifyingissues,communicatingwithstakeholder(faculty,students,staff and agencies), and obtaining support for the NP programs.
- Identifyandoperationalizestudentclinicalsiteopportunities
- Workwiththe Graduate Program Chairand NPcoordinatortodevelopandcontinuallyrefineclinicalsitestrategies
- Sustainrelationshipswithcurrentclinicalsites
- Identifyandrecruitnewclinicalsites

- Ensureclinicalagencycontractsareuptodateandcomplywith State Boardsof Nursing regulations
- AssistinupdatingtheNPstudenttrackingsystemtoensurecurrentactiveaffiliationwithclinicalsitesandpreceptorsare available to students
- FacilitateentryofinformationofagencyandpreceptortotheNPstudenttrackingsystem
- Monitorstudentinformationenteredintothetrackingsystemtoensurecompliancewiththerequiredclinicaldocumentation
- Workwiththe Graduate Program Office Managertoimplementtheprocessofsubmittingrequiredinformationrelatingto health forms and clearances by students
- Assistincoordinatingtheevaluationofstudentsinclinicalsites(site visits)
- CommunicatewiththeNPCoordinatorstoidentifystudentsatriskwithrequirementsforclinicalattendance
- Ensurestudentsandfacultyarecredentialedforclinicalrotations.
- SupportNPcoordinatorswithNPOrientationand Intensives
- Frequenttravelmayberequired
No supervisory responsibilities required.
Work HoursFull-time. 37.5 hours per week. Generally, Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m.
- 5:00 p.m. Hours may be extended to meet the needs of the department. Nights/weekends as needed.
Sedentary work. Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer . Must have the ability to travel short distances, and/or drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials. Exerting up to 15 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
