Trauma Surgery APP (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)

SAMGI is seeking a highly motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our established Trauma Surgery team at Common Spirit St. Anthony Hospital, a nationally recognized Level I Trauma Center located in Lakewood, Colorado, just outside of Denver.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced trauma surgeons in a fast-paced academic and teaching environment while managing a broad spectrum of inpatient trauma and acute surgical care patients. Clinicians with prior trauma experience are preferred, though candidates with inpatient surgical experience from other specialties are encouraged to apply.

We are looking for team-oriented clinicians who value collaboration, clinical excellence, and the opportunity to grow within a physician-led surgical organization dedicated to innovation and high-quality patient care.

Position Highlights
  • Full-time position
  • 147 shifts annually
  • 12-hour shifts
  • Primarily inpatient trauma surgery coverage
  • Approximately 3-4 outpatient clinic hours per week
  • Flexible scheduling with schedules built 3 months in advance around provider availability
  • Opportunities to develop competency in ICU procedures and OR assistance
  • No non-compete clause
  • Competitive compensation package starting at $140,000+ annually

Requirements
  • Active Colorado NP or PA license (or ability to obtain)
  • 1-2 years of Trauma Surgery experience preferred
  • Surgical inpatient experience in another specialty may be considered in lieu of direct trauma experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
