Position Overview

Position Overview The Coordinator of Nursing Quality and Safety is a unique opportunity for an experienced nursing professional to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes, quality initiatives, and nursing excellence across the organization. This highly visible role partners closely with nursing and clinical leadership to drive strategic quality and patient safety initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Coordinator serves as a trusted resource and change agent, helping teams identify opportunities for improvement, implement best practices, and strengthen a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

We are seeking a self-motivated leader who thrives in an autonomous environment and has a strong background in project management, quality improvement, and data analysis. This individual will lead complex initiatives from concept through implementation, using data to identify trends, measure outcomes, and guide decision-making. Success in this role requires the ability to effectively influence teams, build collaborative relationships, and manage multiple priorities while maintaining a focus on achieving measurable results.

Current priorities include reducing colon surgery infections, advancing evidence-based practice initiatives, and improving nursing-sensitive quality indicators. This position offers the best of both worlds: a blend of strategic, data-driven work and hands-on operational engagement. The Coordinator will spend time analyzing performance metrics and developing improvement strategies, while also maintaining a strong presence in clinical areas to support staff, provide education, and drive sustainable change.

Ideal candidates are passionate about improving patient care, energized by solving complex challenges, and excited by the opportunity to lead initiatives that directly impact quality, safety, and the overall patient experience. This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys being both behind the scenes influencing outcomes through data and on the front lines partnering with teams to make those improvements a reality.
