The RN Clinical Educator & Case Manager – Private Care is responsible for supporting safe, high-quality, client-centered care through clinical education, competency validation, caregiver development, and RN case management for Private Care clients.

This position serves as the clinical education resource for Private Care caregivers and nurses, helping ensure associates are appropriately trained, competent, confident, and prepared to provide care consistent with the client’s individualized plan of care and scope of practice.

The RN Clinical Educator & Case Manager develops and delivers onboarding and ongoing clinical education, validates required competencies, identifies education needs through quality trends and field observations, and provides targeted remediation when performance or competency gaps are identified.

The position also provides RN case management for an assigned client population, including assessments, care planning, supervisory visits, clinical coordination, caregiver education, client/family communication, and escalation of changes in condition.

The role works collaboratively with Private Care leadership, scheduling, recruiting, People & Culture, Quality, and field associates to support caregiver readiness, client safety, regulatory compliance, retention, and exceptional client experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Clinical Education & Caregiver Development

Develops, coordinates, delivers, and evaluates clinical education for Private Care associates.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain a structured Private Care clinical orientation program.
  • Provide clinical components of new-hire orientation for RNs, CNAs, HHAs, and other applicable caregivers.
  • Ensure education reflects Florida regulatory requirements, organizational policies, scope of practice, client population needs, and Private Care service standards.
  • Provide education using adult-learning principles, demonstration, return demonstration, simulation, case discussion, and field-based coaching.
  • Develop education appropriate for both experienced caregivers and associates who require additional support transitioning into Private Care.
  • Maintain standardized education materials, competency tools, skills checklists, and training records.
  • Provide annual and recurring education based on regulatory requirements and organizational priorities.
  • Coordinate education with Relias and other organizational learning resources when appropriate.
  • Identify opportunities to improve caregiver confidence, clinical judgment, communication, and client service.

2. Competency Validation

Owns the clinical competency-validation process for Private Care associates within the scope assigned to the position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct or coordinate initial and ongoing competency assessments.
  • Validate required clinical and practical skills through observation, demonstration, return demonstration, skills testing, or other approved competency methods.
