Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to incarcerated patients under physician/NP direction
• Administer medications, treatments, and immunizations per clinical protocols
• Perform patient intake, triage, vitals, and ongoing health assessments
• Document all care accurately in medical records and maintain confidentiality
• Respond to medical emergencies and follow established safety procedures
• Collaborate with correctional staff to support a secure, safe clinical environment
• Educate patients on health conditions, medications, and preventive care
• Participate in weekend/evening nursing coverage and handoff reports
• Assist with chronic care clinics and compliance with state regulations
• Support quality improvement and infection control initiatives
