Dawson Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time Weekend Baylor position. This role offers an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality nursing care, clinical leadership, and supervision within our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) and Rehabilitation Center while enjoying a stable weekend schedule.
As a Weekend Baylor RN, you will perform resident assessments, medication administration, care coordination, and supervise nursing staff. This position suits experienced RNs passionate about long-term care nursing, rehabilitation, geriatric nursing, and nursing leadership.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care according to physician orders and personalized care plans
- Conduct comprehensive resident assessments and clinical evaluations
- Safely administer medications, treatments, and therapies
- Monitor and respond promptly to changes in resident conditions
- Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary teams
- Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and other nursing staff
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility nursing regulations
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Participate in admissions, discharges, transfers, and care planning
- Promote resident dignity and person-centered care
- Assist residents with behavioral health challenges using effective communication and de-escalation
- Serve as a clinical resource and leader during weekend shifts
Required:
- Current Kentucky Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Valid CPR Certification
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team
Preferred:
- Experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) or Long-Term Care (LTC)
- Rehabilitation nursing experience
- Previous Charge Nurse or Nursing Supervisor experience
- Experience with behavioral health, dementia, memory care, or post-acute rehabilitation
- Weekend Baylor Program:
Work 36 hours, get paid for 40 hours - Competitive starting pay: 40.00/hr,increasing to
