- You have a passion for working with the autism population and ensuring the safety and well-being of students and staff.
- You get the job done and are capable of strategic thinking while simultaneously rolling up to your sleeves to lead and teach by example.
- You have strong written communication skills, specifically involving documentation, progress notes, incident reports, and other related administrative tasks.
- You are able to independently problem-solve and make decisions in complex medical and psychological cases.
- You are able to develop and maintain solid relationships and collaborate effectively across departments.
- You have an executive presence with the ability to represent the school professionally in large and small group settings.
- You have a demonstrated understanding in the interplay between mental health conditions and somatic health, especially the physical side effects often cause by commonly prescribed psychiatric medications.
- Provide primary and urgent care services to students within the residential treatment setting. Recording medical histories and symptoms and any other follow up and/or ongoing coordination that is required relative to ensuring immediate and consistent care utilizing best practice.
- Ownership of the diagnosis of health issues, administering and oversight of patient care plans, and medical tests.
- Directly prescribes and administers medication with general overnight of medicine administration and other treatments in accordance with best practices.
- Consult and collaborate with facility dining team to ensure adherence to specialized dietary requirements plans.
- Consulting and collaborating with healthcare professionals (internally and externally) and families relative to medical care of students ensuring a complete and best in class medical treatment for students.
