Banner Desert Medical Center is seeking a Certified Patient Care Assistant to join our Women and Infant Services Team!

The level III/IV Women’s Center at Banner Desert Medical Center consists of a Labor & Delivery, High Risk Antepartum, OB Triage, OB OR’s & Postpartum Mother-Baby department that delivers professional and compassionate care to the mother’s & babies any gestation birth until discharge. Our well-established Couplet Care unit includes a highly skilled team of experienced bedside registered nurses, licensed nursing assistants, and IBCLC certified lactation consultants.

We embrace a team approach focusing on the care of physical and emotional needs of delivering mothers and babies. We provide a range of services from low-risk mothers and infants to the most complex Obstetrical and Neonatal cases in the valley. Couplet Care is a 24-bed unit and Well Newborn Nursery.  If you are a Certified CAN or LNA who loves obstetrical care and can provide an excellent patient experience at every touch point, there is no better time than now to be a part of our team.

Prior clinical experience and certification will be required.
** This is a Part Time Night Shift position: working 2 12's a week from 6P-6:30A
** Weekend and holiday rotations will be required in this role. Enjoy a flat rate $1/hour weekend shift differential and an 18%-night shift differential when applicable.

POSITION SUMMARY  This position provides routine patient care to promote patient comfort and contribute to the overall patient plan of care. This position is responsible for on-going patient data collection and documentation in the medical records and provides a variety of unit support functions which contribute to the overall efficient operation of the nursing unit/department.
