MedSurg​/Tele​/Oncology Nurse

Cone Health is seeking a compassionate Med Surg/Tele/Oncology RN to deliver high-quality care to diverse adult patients in an acute care setting. In this role, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient-centered care while managing complex conditions across medical-surgical, telemetry, and oncology populations. You will monitor cardiac rhythms, administer medications and infusions, support symptom management, and educate patients and families.

• Provide direct nursing care to Med Surg, Telemetry, and Oncology patients following Cone Health clinical protocols
• Administer medications, treatments, and infusions; monitor and interpret vital signs and telemetry data
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document accurately in the EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary team to develop and update care plans
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge plans
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and participate in rapid response situations
• Maintain infection control, safety standards, and regulatory compliance
• Precept and mentor new nurses and support staff as needed
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice projects
• Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges to ensure continuity of care

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred or obtained after hire
