** Greenfield, Massachusetts**. The Endoscopy team provides diagnostic and therapeutic gastroenterology and endoscopy services, working closely with physicians, registered nurses, and patients to support safe, high-quality patient care.

The
** Endoscopy Technician
** role offers the opportunity to develop hands-on clinical and technical skills while supporting patients and collaborating with a specialized gastroenterology team. Under the direct, on-site supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or physician, the Endoscopy Technician performs direct and indirect patient care activities and provides technical support throughout endoscopy procedures.  #
** The Endoscopy Technician Will:
*** Assist the RN and physician with patient care, including collecting vital signs and other information needed to assess patient needs.
* Assist physicians and RNs during diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures and support the established plan of care.
* Process patient specimens according to established procedures and guidelines.
* Prepare patients for flexible sigmoidoscopy procedures, including administration of Fleet and tap water enemas as directed.
* Maintain endoscopy rooms, equipment, and supplies, including ordering and restocking supplies and cleaning and disinfecting equipment and endoscopes.
* Provide room turnover and technical support to help maintain an efficient and safe endoscopy environment.
* Respond to emergency situations as directed by the RN and/or physician.
* Complete required documentation and administrative tasks while maintaining a safe environment and complying with regulatory, professional, and organizational standards.# #

** Required Skills*

* Must demonstrate competency in reading and mathematics as verified by an aptitude test.
