Job Description

Role Overview    Provides direct patient care in a specialized 30-bed unit focused on female patients with GYN Oncology issues, including chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, symptom management, pain relief, palliative, and hospice care. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care within established standards, promoting patient and family-centered care, and educating on illness management and post-treatment needs. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team—comprising oncology-trained nurses, advanced practice nurses, case managers, social workers, pharmacists, spiritual care providers, and physicians—is essential.

The position requires critical assessment skills that consider physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural, spiritual, and patient preference factors. Safety sensitivity is emphasized, demanding constant alertness.

Minimum education:

Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree; RN license required.

Preferred qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and ≥2 years of experience.  No supervisory experience necessary.
