**** Includes On Call and Standby rotation / Occasional evenings/weekends
**** Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
**** supports the Director of Nursing in providing leadership, direction, and oversight of nursing services. The ADON will assist in ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, clinical standards, staff development, and effective nursing operations; overseeing referrals, wounds, and Infection Control. The ADON serves as a visible nursing leader who promotes teamwork, accountability, professionalism, compassion, and resident-centered care while supporting the organization’s mission and values.

** Qualifications and/or

Skills Required:

** Previous Supervisor experience, 5-7 years’ experience preferred; RN and/or BSN;3-5 years of Long-Term care facility experience;

Infection Preventionist Certificate required or willing to obtain;

Proficient computer skills: PCC, Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, Government agencies, MDS and Medical charting capability;

Proven knowledge of government/DOH requirements for Survey compliance;

Must have the ability and desire to deal with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and the general public;

Must have the ability to handle difficult situations;

Ensure a safe environment and culture of caring for residents at the highest level;

Represent Fairlawn with understanding the organizational goals and needs of the future.

Ability to present information in small and large groups.
