American Traveler is hiring a Pediatrics RN with 2+ years of recent Peds/PICU experience and prior travel nursing experience for a night shift assignment requiring float coverage to PICU.

Work in the Pediatrics unit with primary staffing on Peds and required float coverage to PICU

Patient population includes respiratory, trauma, psych, diabetes, general med surg, and eating disorder cases

Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00)

Every third weekend required

Must be able to work all 7 days due to union facility scheduling policy with no special accommodations

Uses Epic charting system

• Active MA RN license required in hand
• Minimum 2 years of recent Peds/PICU experience required
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• APHON certification preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience with 1:2 patient ratios
• Skilled in pediatric-specific care including respiratory management, IV therapy, medication administration, and emergency response
• Two references required for consideration, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher

Must pass a Pass/Fail Telemetry (EKG) test during orientation with an 80% passing score and only one attempt allowed

Must pass a Pass/Fail Medication exam during orientation

Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate within a 200-mile radius

Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system

Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed during the first week of the assignment

Candidates with prior disciplinary actions on their nursing license cannot be considered
