An ICU nurse at Kaiser West Permanente provides comprehensive, high-acuity care to critically ill patients, monitoring vital signs and administering advanced treatments. They collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to create and adjust individualized care plans based on patient response and condition changes. The role requires strong critical thinking, effective communication, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient safety and comfort in a fast-paced, intensive environment.

• Current BLS/ACLS/NIHSS certifications
• Current CA RN license
• 1+ year experience required

• Continuously monitor and assess patients' cardiac rhythms using telemetry technology to detect abnormalities.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and other treatments as ordered by physicians, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Perform routine patient assessments, documenting findings, and communicating changes in patient condition to the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions to support recovery and prevent readmissions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and modify individualized care plans based on patient needs.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, including safety protocols and infection control measures, to ensure a safe patient environment.
