Description:

Join our fast-paced neuro specialty inpatient unit. This unit offers an opportunity to advance your nursing skills utilizing evidence-based practice. Become part of a collaborative team that encourages and helps one another to succeed. Work with a variety of both medical and surgical neuro patients. This is a 25-bed neurosurgery general care unit. Post-surgical cases may include spine surgeries, brain tumors, and craniotomy.

The neurological patient population may include multiple sclerosis, ALS, and Guillain-Barre syndrome. You will care for trauma or orthopedic patients with multiple injuries or spinal fractures. Help provide the highest level of diagnosis and treatment options for patients. Provide patient and family-centered care while partnering with a multidisciplinary team. The team consists of nurses, nursing assistants, therapists, and medical teams.

Special equipment training may be required. Travelers may be required to float as needed. Candidates must have two years of acute care experience within the last three years in the specialty. Only fully qualified candidates will be considered for this nursing role.
