Radiation Oncology Clinic RN

Cone Health seeks a Radiation Oncology Clinic RN to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to oncology patients in our outpatient radiation clinic. The RN will coordinate and provide direct patient care, including assessments, treatment preparation, symptom management, and education for patients and families. Responsibilities include collaborating with radiation oncologists, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team, managing triage calls, monitoring treatment side effects, and supporting clinical protocols.

• Provide direct nursing care to radiation oncology patients in an outpatient clinic setting
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor response to radiation treatments
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, side effects, and symptom management
• Coordinate care with radiation oncologists, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members
• Triage patient calls and manage urgent symptoms or treatment-related issues
• Administer medications and supportive therapies per provider orders and protocols
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow regulatory and safety standards
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice projects
