UPMC Presbyterian,a Magnet designated hospital, is currently hiring a Full-Time Registered Nurse to support our GI Surgery & Oncology
Unit, 10N.

About the Unit:

10 North is a 25-bed all private room Surgical Oncology unit that focuses on Gastrointestinal and Liver Surgery. The patient population consists of colon, gastric, pancreatic cancer and gastrointestinal disorders that require surgery. The liver population on the unit consists of liver resections, chemotherapy and management of common bile duct injuries. When needed we work closely with Palliative Care and Hospice to provide our patients and families with comprehensive end-of-life care.

10 North provides state-of-the-art oncology care which offers an opportunity to develop professional experience in all areas of surgical care.

The Professional Staff Nurse provides highly competent patient care and treatment while demonstrating empathy and a passion for learning. A role that requires independent judgment, fluent communication, and candid partnership, the Professional Staff Nurse establishes relationships with physicians, other care providers, patients, and patients’ families to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care.

Shifts/Hours
:

Our RNs work a rotating 12-hour schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage on the floor.

Graduate Nurses must be eligible for State Board Licensure and successfully pass the examination before beginning this role OR ability to start with TPP and must obtain license within four monthsof beginning position. Applicants will be placed in the appropriate job title and salary from the My Nursing Career Ladder based on their individual experience and education.
