Job Goal:
Daily upkeep of all Ballard County School Grounds and light maintenance

• Daily upkeep of grounds include Preschool, Middle, Vocational, High, Central Office, Bus Garage, Maintenance Building, Family Resource Center.
• Mowing and trash pick-up at and around the football field during football season.
• Nature trail acreage and all other open grounds on the campus premises.
• Keep the grounds in a professional and well-maintained appearance.
• Services include but not limited to: bush hogging, topsoil replacement, gravel lot dressings, finish mowing, tree/shrub trimming/brush removal/disposal, herbicide application, asphalt and concrete sweeping/cleaning.
• Trash shall be removed from the high school cafeteria and disposed of in the dumpsters daily.
• Assist the Facilities Director with the football field maintenance program, including aerating, scheduling herbicide and fertilizer applications, and setting irrigation schedules.
• Proper use of riding mowers, tractors, forklifts, sprayer units, trimmers, hedgers, chainsaws and all other equipment associated with groundskeeping is required.
• During mowing off-season, assist maintenance with light-duty work, material/janitorial supply deliveries, and assist with snow removal and salt spreading during inclement weather.
• All upkeep and repairs to equipment used in performance of the job are the responsibility of the groundskeeper.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Facilities Director.
