Overnight

Emergency/ICUTechnicianwhothrives in a fast-paced emergency and critical care environment.

This role involves caring for unstable and critically ill patients, triaging emergencies, monitoring hospitalized pets, running diagnostics, administering treatments, and providing high-quality nursing care.

Thetechnicianwillalsosupportspecialtydepartmentsincludinginternalmedicine, surgery, oncology, cardiology, and radiology.

The ideal candidate is confident in IV catheter placement, blood draws, lab work, anesthesia monitoring, and medication administration. Strong communications skills are equally important, as this role includes admitting and discharging patients and providing compassionate client education and support.

Administertreatmentsandoverseecare,cleanlinessandfeedingofpatients.

Assistwithgeneralanesthesiaandmedical,imagingandsurgicalprocedures.

Perform specimen collection and laboratory tests, including blood work, microbiology, urinalysisandfecalanalysis.

Completeadministrativetasksforoutsidelaboratorywork.

Keeptreatmentrecordsuptodate,andtheappropriateveterinariansandstaffinformed of any changes.

Communicatewithclientsandotherinvolvedpartiesregardingthestatusandplanforall assigned hospitalized patients.

Clean,maintainandsterilizeinstruments,equipmentandsupplies.

Assurethatallequipmentisfunctioningandingoodrepair.

Helpwithcleaningandre-stockingofexamrooms.

Makesurethatappropriate instruments and equipment are available.

Ensurethatcagesandrunsarecleananddisinfected.

Re-stockthehospitalarea,laboratory,centralsupplyandpharmacyandkeeptrackof inventory.

Maintainhospitalcleanlinessbyperforminglaundrydutiesandensuringtheparkinglot, west patio, and fenced yard remain orderly.
