Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician – Gaston Veterinary Hospital
Gastonia, NC | Full-Time
Pay Range: $18–$20/hour (based on experience)

Gaston Veterinary Hospital is a fast-paced, walk-in clinic where no two days are the same. With a new doctor joining the team, we’re looking to add a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys teamwork, and is ready to jump in and make an impact. • Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and procedures
• Support surgical and dental procedures, including anesthesia monitoring (based on experience)
• Take radiographs, including dental radiographs when applicable
• Perform phlebotomy, place IV catheters (technician level), and prepare lab samples
• Restrain patients safely and assist with patient handling
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment notes
• Help keep workflow efficient in a busy walk-in environment
• Collaborate with team members to support daily hospital operations

• Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician with hands-on clinical experience
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
• Positive, dependable, and team-oriented
• Strong patient handling and restraint skills
• Ability to stay organized and multitask efficiently
• Experience with anesthesia, radiographs, or lab work preferred
• Strong communication and client service skills

• Four 10-hour shifts: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• One-hour lunch break
• Every other Saturday morning until noon
