Your Veterinary Career Should Work for Your Life.

What if you could earn a competitive salary, work four days a week, and have every weekend and holiday off?

TAHO is looking for a Small Animal Outpatient Veterinarian who wants to practice excellent medicine while enjoying a schedule designed for a sustainable, fulfilling career.

We are a private, community-based, mission-driven veterinary organization providing accessible, high-quality care regardless of an owner’s financial circumstances.

Unlike corporate practices, we don’t operate on production quotas or pressure our veterinarians to prioritize revenue over patient care. Our doctors have the autonomy to make clinical decisions based on what is best for their patients.

What Makes This Opportunity Different?

Competitive annual salary for a 32-hour workweek

That’s a four-day workweek with a full weekday off every week—while maintaining a competitive full-time salary.

You’ll also have:
  • No weekends
  • No holidays
  • No emergency call
  • No overnight shifts
  • Appointment-based outpatient medicine
  • Scheduled breaks and dedicated administrative time
  • Strong technician and assistant support
  • Clinical autonomy
  • No corporate production metrics or revenue quotas
  • A collaborative, supportive team
  • Modern equipment and in-house diagnostics
What You’ll Do

As an Outpatient Veterinarian, you’ll provide comprehensive primary veterinary care for dogs and cats, including:

  • Wellness and preventive care
  • Sick-patient examinations
  • Diagnosis and treatment of common medical conditions
  • In-house diagnostics
  • Client education and communication
  • Development of individualized treatment plans
  • Medical record documentation
  • Collaboration with experienced veterinary technicians and support staff

Our team is structured to allow you to focus on practicing medicine, rather than spending your day managing administrative tasks.

The TAHO Difference

We believe veterinary medicine is at its best when veterinarians have the time, resources, and autonomy to provide the care they believe is right for their patients.

At TAHO, you’ll join a private organization where:

Patients come before production numbers.

Quality medicine comes before quotas.

Teamwork comes before competition.

And your life outside the clinic matters.

Our appointment-based model allows you to develop meaningful relationships with clients and their pets without the pressure of emergency or high-volume corporate medicine.

Benefits

In addition to competitive full-time salary, you’ll receive:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid vacation
  • 6 paid holidays
  • Continuing education allowance
  • Paid continuing education time
  • AVMA, OVMA, DEA, and PLIT dues paid
  • Technology stipend
  • Free personal pet care
  • State licensing and professional dues covered
  • Eligibility for applicable government student loan forgiveness programs
Schedule

32 hours per week | Four days per week

Your four-day schedule gives you a rotating weekday away from the clinic every week, in addition to every weekend and holiday off.

The goal is simple: give you enough time to be an excellent veterinarian—and enough time to enjoy everything else life has to offer.

Qualifications
  • DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school
  • Active Ohio veterinary license or eligibility to obtain one
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to compassionate, high-quality patient care
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach
  • Experienced veterinarians and new graduates are encouraged to apply.

We don’t have a formal mentorship program, but you’ll be joining a knowledgeable and collaborative team that values learning, communication, and professional growth.

  • $125,000-$135,000 salary.
  • 32 hours per week.
  • Four days (rotating each week M-Th, then T-Fri creating a four day weekend every other week).
  • No weekends.
  • No holidays.
  • No production quotas.

Come practice veterinary medicine the way it should be practiced.
