JOB DESCRIPTION
** Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a qualified Farm Crew Leader for this large, progressive Illinois farming operation.
** This position will serve as a
** Farm Crew Foreman
** at one of the operation's primary production locations in Illinois. The operation farms more than 10,000 acres of corn, soybeans, and wheat across multiple locations and utilizes separate crews to efficiently manage fieldwork throughout the year. The Farm Crew Foreman will take responsibility for leading one of these crews while remaining fully involved in daily field operations. This is not an office-based management position.

The successful candidate will operate equipment, work alongside the crew, organize daily activities, and help ensure that fieldwork is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. The employer is looking for a strong hands-on leader who can take ownership of a crew, communicate expectations, keep people moving in the right direction, and set the standard through personal effort and equipment care.###

### QUALIFICATIONS
* Proven experience supervising employees in a large-scale production agriculture environment
* Strong hands-on background in corn, soybean, and wheat production
* Experience operating large, late-model farm equipment
* Ability to organize daily work, assign responsibilities, and keep a crew productive
* Comfortable supervising 2-4 employees during most of the year and up to 10 employees during harvest
* Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to train employees, set expectations, and hold crew members accountable
* Familiarity with John Deere precision agriculture, GPS, guidance, and equipment-monitoring technology
* Willingness to work long and variable hours during planting, spraying, wheat harvest, and fall harvest
* Dependable, organized, safety-minded, and capable of leading by example
* Valid driver's license with a good driving record### ### PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead and supervise a crew of approximately 2-4 full-time and seasonal employees
* Supervise a larger crew of up to approximately 10 employees during harvest
* Organize daily field activities and communicate work assignments to crew members
* Operate large, late-model John Deere tractors, planters, sprayers, combines, and tillage equipment
* Operate a 24-row high-speed planter during the spring planting season
* Coordinate planting support equipment, seed handling, fertilizer needs, and field logistics
* Operate spraying equipment and assist with crop-protection applications
* Participate in wheat harvest and summer field operations
* Lead and work within the fall corn and soybean harvest crew
* Coordinate combines, grain carts, trucks, and other harvest equipment
* Monitor employee performance, productivity, safety, and equipment operation
* Train less-experienced employees on machinery, technology, and proper operating procedures
* Hold crew members accountable while maintaining a professional and positive work environment
* Communicate field progress, equipment needs, and operational concerns to ownership
* Help ensure that machinery is properly serviced, inspected, cleaned, and ready for the next field operation
* Assist with preventive maintenance, repairs, shop work, and equipment preparation
* Haul grain and assist with winter projects when fieldwork is complete
* Maintain accurate field, equipment, and production records as required
* Support ownership in carrying out crop-production plans and meeting seasonal deadlines### SEASONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
** Spring
* ** Operate a 24-row high-speed planter
* Lead a crew of approximately 2-4 employees

* Monitor field conditions, planting performance, and equipment operation
* Help ensure timely completion of corn and soybean planting
** Summer
* ** Operate sprayers and other crop-production equipment
* Participate in wheat harvest
* Supervise a crew of approximately five employees when needed
* Assist with crop scouting, field maintenance, equipment servicing, and grain movement
** Fall
* ** Lead and work alongside a harvest crew of up to approximately 10 employees
* Operate combines, grain carts, tractors, or other harvest equipment
* Coordinate field logistics and keep harvest moving efficiently
* Monitor equipment care, safety, productivity, and grain handling
** Winter
* ** Assist with equipment inspection and preventive maintenance
