O’Connor Road Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced veterinarian to step into a Medical Director role at our well-established, multi-doctor practice in San Antonio, TX. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a collaborative team while continuing to practice high-quality medicine in a supportive and well-equipped environment.

We are a busy, full-service small animal hospital offering primary care, surgeries, and limited urgent care. Our team is passionate about preventative medicine, client education, and delivering excellent patient care.

• Partner closely with the Hospital Manager to lead hospital operations and team development
• Mentor and support a team of 2 full-time veterinarians
• Set and uphold medical standards of care
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and growth-oriented culture
• Maintain a strong clinical presence with a strong interest in soft tissue surgeries preferred
• Estimated time allocation: 90% clinical, 10% administrative/leadership responsibilities
• Schedule
  : 4 days per week and rotating 1/2 Saturdays

• 7 exam rooms, dedicated surgery suite, treatment and isolation areas
• Full dental suite
• In-house diagnostics (Idexx Catalyst & Pro Cyte, SNAP testing)
• Digital radiography and dental x-ray
• Ultrasound capabilities
  
  Modern anesthesia and patient monitoring equipment
• Established relationships for advanced surgical procedures
• Avimark practice management software

• Competitive base salary and production bonuses - NO negative accrual
• $140,000-$150,000 starting base salary
• 22%+ starting production payout
