Yard Reboot Project, Inc. is an Austin-based 501(c)(3) public charity that runs a real, revenue-generating landscape company. Monday through Thursday our crews serve paying residential and commercial clients across Travis, Williamson, and Hays counties. Every Friday, 100% of the net profit from that paid work goes back out the door as free property restoration for low-income seniors, disabled veterans, and homebound neighbors who cannot do the work themselves and cannot afford to hire it out.

As Lead Biophilic Wellness Specialist and Route Lead, you own the living systems side of that business. You design, install, and maintain interior plantscapes and green walls for commercial clients, then take the same horticultural standard outdoors into regenerative native gardens for homeowners. You are the person clients ask for by name, and the person a new technician learns the craft from.

This is a hands-on, in-the-plants role with real autonomy. You set the care calendar for your book of accounts, diagnose problems in the field, and decide what a space needs. There is no cubicle phase, no seasonal layoff, and no weekend work. On Fridays you lead the volunteer build teams that put a sensory retreat garden or an accessible waist-high planter in front of a veteran's house.

Most horticulture jobs ask you to keep plants alive for someone else's margin. Here, the margin has a destination: every account you retain funds a free build for a neighbor who is out of options. You get commercial-grade tools, a continuing education budget, daylight hours, and a mission you can point to on a map.

Leads Friday charitable builds constructing sensory retreat gardens and accessible raised planter boxes for disabled veterans and vulnerable homeowners.

Full-Time, 40 hrs/week. Mon-Thu commercial and residential routes;
Fri charitable community transformations. No weekends.

  - Load the van from the shop, review your route, and pull the plant stock and amendments the day's accounts need.
• 8:00 AM
  - First commercial interiors cape: reservoir checks, green wall irrigation calibration, pruning, rotation of any declining specimens.
• 10:30 AM
  - Residential regenerative garden visit: soil moisture probe readings, organic pest treatment, seasonal native replanting.
• 12:30 PM
  - Lunch, then a diagnostic plant audit for a prospective client and a written care recommendation sent from your phone.
• 2:00 PM
  - Second route cluster with an apprentice riding along; you coach technique while you work.
• 4:00 PM
  - Close out job forms, upload photo verification, flag any account that needs a follow-up visit.
• Friday
  - Lead a charitable build: accessible raised planters, pollinator pockets, and a shaded sensory corner for a disabled veteran's yard.

• Calibrate sub-irrigation reservoirs, living green walls, and non-toxic organic pest treatment.
• Maintain Central Texas native flora (Salvia greggii, Mexican Oregano, Purple Cone flower).
• Complete Jobber mobile job forms, soil moisture probe logs, and photo verification before closing every visit.
• Conduct on-site diagnostic plant audits and lead Friday volunteer garden installations.

• 2+ years interiors cape or fine estate gardening experience.
• Texas Master Gardener, TNLA, or horticulture coursework preferred.
• Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record.

• Texas Master Gardener certification, TNLA membership, or completed horticulture coursework.
• Experience with sub-irrigation systems, living green walls, or interior plant subscription accounts.
• Working knowledge of Central Texas natives and integrated, non-toxic pest management.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Comfort mentoring apprentices and speaking directly with commercial property managers.
