• enthusiastically represents busch gardens by displaying a positive attitude and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.
• initiate interactions with guests to proactively provide animal and park information.
• conduct informative and engaging animal presentations on microphone at animal habitats and interpret veterinary procedures in real-time
• organize, inventory, and prepare materials for educational experiences.
• facilitate tours of the animal care center and promote educational tour experiences.
• ensures safety of guests at animal exhibits and behind the scenes.
• maintain professional quality standards with guest interactions in times of high stress.
• communicate professionally and effectively with ambassadors, vendors, and our guests.
• perform other duties as assigned.

• at least 18 years of age
• valid driver’s license
• working towards a degree or have a degree in education, animal science, psychology, zoology or related field preferred but not necessary
• excellent communication and public speaking skills
• ability to provide outstanding guest service
• ability to work up to 28 hours a week
• ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekday and weekend shifts, evenings, and holidays
• ability to work in an outdoor environment: high heat, humidity, cold, etc.

• able to push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• this position requires walking, standing, bending, and overhead reaching
• ability to work individually and/or within a team setting
• ability to practice proper time management when given multiple tasks
• perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals
• basic computer knowledge
• experience working at a veterinary facility is preferred but not required
• prior guest/customer service experience preferred
