Position SummaryThe Professional Field Services Veterinarian serves as Contura Vet's field-based clinical and scientific expert, supporting the company's portfolio of innovative veterinary therapies. This role partners closely with Veterinary Services, Commercial, Marketing, and external veterinary professionals to provide evidence-based education, technical support, and scientific exchange that advances appropriate product utilization and improves patient outcomes.
Responsibilities include delivering clinical education and training, supporting field-based scientific exchange, contributing veterinary expertise to product lifecycle initiatives, developing technical resources, fostering relationships with key veterinary stakeholders, and supporting pharmacovigilance activities while ensuring accurate, compliant communication across all field engagements.
Key Responsibilities Scientific & Clinical Expertise- Serve as the primary field-based technical and scientific expert supporting Contura Vet's portfolio of innovative veterinary therapies, providing expert guidance on disease management, patient selection, product utilization, procedural best practices, and clinical outcomes.
- Provide expert guidance on patient selection, diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning, product dosing, procedural techniques, and outcome optimization appropriate to the company's therapeutic portfolio.
- Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive training programs for internal teams and veterinary customers focused on the safe and effective use of Contura Vet's product portfolio and associated clinical procedures, including anatomy, aseptic technique, injection procedures, procedural approaches, product preparation, handling, and complication management.
- Educate veterinary teams on post‑injection and long‑term patient management, including monitoring of clinical response, activity or workload modification, rehabilitation planning, adjunctive therapies, owner/client communication, and expectation management.
- Support the development and delivery of high‑quality continuing education programs, including lectures, wet labs, and hands‑on workshops at conferences, professional meetings, and industry events. Develop educational content that supports sound clinical decision‑making, procedural competency, and the appropriate use of Contura Vet's therapies.
- Provide in‑field clinical support and guidance to commercial teams, reinforcing scientific credibility and appropriate product utilization across veterinary practices and referral centers.
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional stakeholders across sales, marketing, medical, regulatory, and research teams to ensure consistent, accurate, compliant, and scientifically sound messaging.
