Daytime Non-Profit Emergency Veterinarian

Harmony Vet Care is seeking someone who is upbeat, practices high-quality medicine, and is capable of working quickly and efficiently! This position would be perfect for an emergency doctor who is starting to feel the pressure and burn out from high-cost ER medicine. Someone who believes all animals deserve access to the best medical care, regardless of owner finance.

Harmony has created a revolutionary model combining high-quality, low-cost care with emergency medicine. We have 3 full service clinics in the Tampa area which provide high-quality, low-cost care to the community. We serve over 100,000 clients and over 200,000 patients. Aside from our very full schedule of appointments, we are faced with endless same day emergencies and emergency surgery transfers from local ERs when owners cannot afford traditional ER clinics.

This position would field same day emergencies and surgeries as well as critical hospital patients. On a daily basis we are getting referrals for foreign body surgeries, pyometras, blocked cats, dogs hit by car, etc.

We have radiology, in house bloodwork, ultrasound, oxygen cages, and highly trained staff. Our wish list for growth includes a stand alone 24 hour ER, a CT, in house blood products, and whatever our ER doctor wishes to add to best serve our community. This position will have a lot of ability to create and develop the ER and their role in it.

Shifts are 7 hours per day, 4 days per week.

Prefer 2+ years in veterinary medicine

Emergency, surgical, and shelter experience would be helpful

Strong communication skills

Computer skills

Fluent in English. Bilingual would be a plus.
