Landscape Crew Member

Family Roots Nursery & Garden Center is seeking a dependable, hardworking Landscape Crew Member to support landscape installation, garden-bed care, and related outdoor projects at customer properties and Family Roots locations.

This is an entry-level, hands-on position with opportunities to develop plant knowledge, installation skills, equipment proficiency, and job-site experience. Previous professional landscaping experience is not required.

The Landscape Crew Member works under the direction of a Landscape Lead or Manager.

Candidates should be dependable, comfortable with sustained outdoor physical work, and able to follow instructions while maintaining safe, careful habits with plants, tools, and equipment. Strong teamwork, respectful communication, receptiveness to feedback, and basic recordkeeping skills are essential.

Experience in landscaping, horticulture, nursery work, farming, gardening, construction, outdoor maintenance, or another physical trade is preferred but not required. Plant knowledge, customer-service experience, and equipment experience are also helpful.

We are a small, family-run nursery, garden center, landscaping operation, and farm-based community destination in Opelika. We offer plants, gardening products, bulk landscape materials, seasonal goods, educational activities, and community events.
