Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, reliable, and hardworking Seasonal
Groundskeeper to join our Facilities team. This role is essential in ensuring that our campus remains safe, attractive, and welcoming year-round. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining outdoor spaces, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
* This is a season PRN/Per Diem position for the winter season.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain all outdoor grounds, including lawns, gardens, walkways, courtyards, and parking areas
- Perform routine landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, planting, mulching, and weeding
- Assist with seasonal duties including snow removal, salting, leaf cleanup, and storm debris management
- Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment safely and effectively
- Monitor outdoor areas for safety hazards and address or report issues promptly
- Support special projects, events, and facility needs as assigned
- Uphold the mission and values of Saint Mary’s and the LECOM Institute for Successful Living
Qualifications
- Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, or maintenance experience preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Must have snow plow experience
- Basic knowledge of lawn care equipment and tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment or materials as needed
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license, with clean driving record is required
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
