• Landscape, gardening, horticulture, or plant care experience preferred, but not required
• Interest in learning plant identification and ecological landscape care
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Reliable, coachable, organized, and able to work well with a crew
• Comfortable using and learning to safely operate landscape tools and equipment
• Able to perform physically demanding outdoor work in changing weather conditions
• Reliable for early starts and a Tuesday through Friday schedule
• Genuine interest in native plants, edible landscapes, and ecological land care

We are hiring a Stewardship Apprentice to join our team caring for established ecological landscapes across Central Massachusetts. This is a field based role for someone who enjoys working outdoors, wants to deepen their plant knowledge, and is interested in learning how thoughtfully designed landscapes are cared for season after season.

You will visit a variety of properties and work with native plants, edible landscapes, weeds, invasive plants, pruning, mulching, seasonal garden care, and other landscape stewardship tasks. You will learn plant identification and ecological land care practices while working alongside an experienced team.

We are looking for someone who works hard, pays attention to detail, enjoys learning about plants, and takes pride in leaving landscapes healthier and better cared for. You do not need to know everything. You do need to be reliable, coachable, safety minded, comfortable with physically demanding outdoor work, and genuinely interested in ecological landscaping.

$18 to $22 per hour, based on experience.
