Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a Feedlot Assistant for a well-established, family-owned cattle operation in Nebraska. The right individual will be looking for a long-term opportunity and take pride in doing things right. This family operation has been established in the area for over 50 years and is looking for someone who will become a dependable part of the operation. Up to $70,000 DOE?

Responsibilities Include:

Assist with the day-to-day operation of the feedlot.

Feed and monitor cattle daily.

Identify, diagnose, and appropriately treat sick cattle.

Assist with processing and working cattle.

Help load cattle when shipments are scheduled.

Operate loaders, skid steers, feed equipment, and other machinery.

Assist with wet-corn grinding and feed-related equipment.

Perform routine equipment maintenance and general repairs.

Help maintain a clean, organized, and well-kept feedlot and  flexible and willing to help wherever needed.?

QUALIFICATIONS:

Solid cattle/feedlot background.

Strong animal-health skills with the ability to spot, diagnose, and treat sick cattle.

Experience feeding cattle is preferred.

Good mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine maintenance and general repairs.

Ability to operate loaders, skid steers, and other feedlot equipment.

Good work ethic and a positive attitude.

Self-starter who can work independently.

Takes pride in keeping equipment, facilities, and work areas neat.

Good communication skills.?
