Under general direction, the Applicator is responsible for safely and accurately applying liquid and dry fertilizer products to customer fields using self-propelled application equipment. This position plays a critical role in supporting customer crop nutrition programs through precise product application, equipment operation, and routine maintenance activities.

• Safely operate self-propelled fertilizer application equipment to apply liquid and dry crop nutrition products.
• Monitor product application by calculating rates, calibrating equipment, and ensuring accurate placement of products according to agronomic recommendations.
• Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and routine inspections of application equipment.
• Conduct equipment maintenance and minor repairs, including greasing, replacing bearings, and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
• Clean, store, and maintain application equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Maintain detailed application records and comply with all regulatory and company requirements.
• Follow all pesticide and fertilizer application regulations, licensing requirements, and safety procedures.
• Assist with fertilizer handling, loading, unloading, and other operational activities as needed.
• Represent Simplot professionally while working with customers and team members.
• Support operations at other nearby locations, including occasional travel to neighboring facilities when business needs require.
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and customer service.

High school diploma or GED.

• Valid Category 1 Pesticide Applicator License.
• Minimum of three (3) years of agricultural application experience.
• Working knowledge of fertilizer application practices, calibration procedures, and application regulations.
• Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• Experience operating self-propelled spray rigs and fertilizer application equipment.
• Category 4 Seed Treatment License and/or category 14 Fertilizer Application License.
• Additional agricultural equipment operation and maintenance experience.

Pesticide Applicator License is required.

• Category 1 is required.
• Category 4 is preferred.
• Category 14 is preferred.

• Frequently stand, walk, climb, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and field conditions.
• Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Operate agricultural equipment for extended periods of time.
