Come Build Something Sweet:
What if your next career move wasn't just another job—but an opportunity to own part of the hospital you're helping build?
Hershey Animal Emergency Center (HAEC) is looking for exceptional, entrepreneurial board-certified veterinary specialists who want something different from the traditional corporate specialty hospital model.
We are a privately owned, non-corporate, veterinarian-owned 24/7/365 emergency hospital in Hershey, Pennsylvania—and we're ready for our next chapter.
We're looking for specialists who want to help us build it.
HAEC opened its doors in 2023 with approximately 20 employees and a vision to create an emergency hospital where exceptional medicine, an outstanding workplace culture, and independent veterinary ownership could coexist.
Today, our team has grown to more than 100 employees and 14 veterinarians, providing high-quality emergency and critical care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
And we're just getting started.
Our next goal is ambitious:
Transform HAEC from an exceptional emergency hospital into the premier privately owned Emergency & Specialty veterinary hospital in Central Pennsylvania.
For the right specialists, HAEC offers equity buy-in opportunities from Day 1.
We want to partner with veterinarians who are excited about building long-term financial wealth through practice ownership while practicing exceptional medicine.
As a specialist partner, you'll have the opportunity to help shape your service—including its equipment, workflow, staffing, culture, and long-term growth—while benefiting from the infrastructure, referral network, emergency caseload, and established team HAEC has already built.
You won't be starting a specialty practice alone.
You'll be building one inside a thriving, established 24/7 emergency hospital—with the opportunity to own part of what you help create.
Excellent employee benefits including:
Salary: $250,000-$300,000, 401K with immediate 4% employer match and 100% vested, 3 weeks PTO, Health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, paid memberships/CE, sign on/relocation bonus.
Equity buy-in opportunities available from Day 1 for qualified specialists who want to participate in the long-term growth and value they help create.
Remain IndependentBe part of a veterinarian-owned, privately held hospital—not another corporate consolidation story.
Build Financial WealthCombine excellent clinical compensation with the opportunity to build equity and participate in the financial success of a growing hospital.
Build Your Service Your WayHelp determine how your specialty operates, what equipment you need, how your team is structured, and what exceptional specialty medicine should look like.
Established 24/7 Emergency CaseloadStep into an established, rapidly growing emergency hospital rather than trying to build a referral base and infrastructure from scratch.
Exceptional Compensation & BenefitsHighly competitive specialist compensation and a comprehensive benefits package designed to attract outstanding doctors.
A Seat At The TableWe aren't looking for employees who simply follow someone else's playbook. We want future partners who bring ideas, leadership, ambition, and a desire to help determine where HAEC goes next.
