Native Landscape Gardener

Organic Gardener/Landscaper wanted. Looking for committed, hardworking individual for an exciting job opportunity. Develop land stewardship skills, spend your days working in a beautiful setting, work closely with experts in the field and earn a new appreciation for our native landscape.

Our small company has been in the horticulture business for almost 40 years. Our core values are sustainability, respect for the environment, and integrity in our dealings with our clients, some of whom have been with us for over three decades. We champion the use of native species, the preservation of natural resources and the maintenance and creation of habitat for local fauna.

We have a "plants first" mentality and don't do things purely for the sake of convenience or expediency.

We do both semi-formal gardening and broader organic land management. We do some installations but the majority of our work is maintenance. Duties include weeding, mulching, pruning, some mowing ( not lawns ), trail maintenance and invasive control. Prior landscaping/gardening experience is a must.

The job is 3 days a week, and the pay starts at $28/hr work is spread out over half a dozen properties or so centered on Quaker Hill, straddling the Dutchess and Putnam county line in NY state, but extending up into Litchfield County, CT.
